Most individuals have pastimes, and while some are quite common like knitting or doing crosswords, others are more unusual. Generally, the activities we engage in help us escape from everyday pressures and provide fun. They also give us a chance for personal development by letting us express our creativity and discover new skills and interests.
Here are some stories about people with fascinating hobbies.
One woman recounted that she went on a date with a guy she liked who invited her to his home. She accepted the invitation but when she asked to use the restroom, she saw there were no towels so she opened one of the cabinets. Inside was a bra! Confused, she asked him why he had it; he replied, “Please don’t mess it up I need to deliver it to a customer tomorrow.” It turned out he made custom bras! He then showed her his workspace which made her feel slightly awkward. They didn’t date much longer but it wasn’t because of his odd hobby.
An elderly neighbor aged 78 who lived alone started having a young man over regularly. Everything was fine until another man next door heard shouting from her house. He went over to check if everything was okay. When she opened the door, he saw her dressed in karate gear! Despite being older, she wanted to try something new which he thought was awesome.
On her way home from work one day, a woman began crocheting on the bus. A man next to her moved closer making her uneasy at first but then noticed he held a knitting book! Turns out he was interested in what she was doing so they struck up a conversation and kept in touch after that.
