95-Year-Old Man Shares a Simple 3-Ingredient Blend He Enjoys to Stay Active Throughout the Day

A 95-year-old man named Georgi Todorov, a longtime beekeeper from Bulgaria, is said to remain energetic and active in his daily routine. According to the story, he credits part of his vitality to a simple homemade mixture made with a few natural ingredients.

This traditional blend combines honey, lemon, and bee pollen, with optional tahini and cinnamon for added texture and flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 kg honey
  • 1 kg lemons
  • 200 grams bee pollen
  • 250 to 300 grams tahini (sesame paste)
  • 2 cinnamon sticks (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Warm water

How to Prepare It

Start by pouring fresh lemon juice over the bee pollen so it softens and blends more easily. Then combine the lemon juice and bee pollen with the honey, mixing well until everything is evenly incorporated.

Let the mixture sit for about 24 hours.

After that, add the tahini and stir thoroughly until the ingredients form a smooth and consistent blend. If you like, you can also add cinnamon sticks to give the mixture a richer flavor.

How It Is Traditionally Used

To prepare the drink, add 1 tablespoon of the mixture to a glass of warm water. Then add 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and stir well.

It is traditionally consumed 30 to 60 minutes before breakfast and again in the evening.

Why These Ingredients Are Popular

Honey has long been valued as a natural food that contains small amounts of enzymes, minerals, and other beneficial compounds. Lemon adds freshness and vitamin C, while bee pollen is often appreciated for its nutrient content. Tahini, made from sesame seeds, also adds healthy fats and a creamy texture.

Together, these ingredients create a rich traditional mixture that many people enjoy as part of their routine.

Final Thoughts

This homemade blend is a simple recipe built from natural ingredients that have been appreciated in traditional food practices for generations. While it can be an interesting addition to a balanced lifestyle, it is always best to enjoy such mixtures in moderation and as part of an overall healthy diet.
