Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce became the center of attention after they showed up at the American League Championship Series. The couple enjoyed a date night at Yankee Stadium on Monday, October 14.
They went to Game 1 where the New York Yankees played against the Cleveland Guardians. While many were excited about the game itself, lots of people were focused on Swift and her guy.
At one point during the game, Swift shared a drink with him and held hands with her boyfriend. But what caught everyone’s eye was a ring on Taylor’s finger; she was wearing it on her middle finger which made some fans think it looked like an engagement ring.
One fan wondered aloud if “Is Taylor Swift wearing an (small) engagement ring?” while another said “Did anyone just see that ring on THAT finger? No?[sic]” People were very curious about that ring.
Others speculated about why it was not on her traditional engagement finger; one fan mentioned “I’m not really into Taylor Swift but I heard all these rumors and just want to say… this is a pretty nice ring for someone who isn’t engaged… I know it’s not on her right finger but is it even correct hand?”
While these comments circulated last week, Troy Aikman raised speculation even higher; during his “Pardon My Take” podcast episode he hinted that they might already be engaged.
The 57-year-old NFL star revealed that someone close to them told him something intriguing: “Someone actually reached out today saying they might actually be engaged.” He knew he was sharing this info first so he added jokingly “I might have broke this story[sic].”
As people kept guessing about their status, People Magazine confirmed that they weren’t engaged yet though their confirmation came before this recent sighting of them together along with Taylor’s mysterious middle-finger ring.
