Doctor Uncovers: MRI of 33-Year-Old Woman’s Face Shows Where Her Fillers Disappeared

After posting ⁢a⁢ video of an‌ MRI, a surgeon caught the attention of many by showing how a patient’s injected hyaluronic‍ acid fillers had increased and moved on their own over time.

The findings‍ shocked⁢ thousands⁤ who said their fillers never disappeared.

Dermal fillers ‌are gel-like materials injected under the skin⁤ to bring back lost volume, smooth out lines ‍and soften wrinkles, or ⁣enhance‌ facial shapes,‍ according to ⁤the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery.

Every year, more than a million people choose this⁢ popular facial rejuvenation treatment ⁤as stated by the board.

The ‍most common type of injectable‌ fillers is made from hyaluronic acid and usually lasts for 6 to 18 months.

Dr. Kami Parsa is an ‌oculoplastic surgeon in Beverly Hills who shared an MRI ⁤video on his TikTok account⁤ on July 12. The clip showed ⁢how injectables changed the patient’s⁤ face.

The patient was a woman aged 33 who had⁤ received over⁣ twelve CC (or milliliters) of ⁢hyaluronic⁣ acid filler during six ⁣years.

In this video that gained over seven ‍million views, the MRI ⁢displayed a grey‍ face with green spots‍ lighting up in different areas like lips and cheeks where⁣ filler ⁤remained present.

Dr. Parsa didn’t mention what procedures⁤ were done but explained that ‍when ⁣he measured her⁤ filler amount it totaled twenty-eight CCs.

“That’s more than double what ⁤was ⁣injected,”⁢ he stated in his clip.He added: “This shows ⁤us that hyaluronic acid fillers attract water.”

“This means ⁤they⁣ expand tissue‍ too.”

The MRI raised worries as one TikTok user commented: “I ‍just don’t⁤ see ⁤how this ⁢wouldn’t harm the lymphatic system.”

“FINALLY ⁢THIS IS BEING DISCUSSED,” another person wrote. ⁣“Mass production without WARNING! I need more ‍info about Botox too.”

Dr.Parsa responded saying: “Botox has been⁤ around for long ⁢time & is ‍safe ⁣if done right.”

The MRI revealed that hyaluronic acid filler‌ amounts doubled

Someone noted: ⁤“So water is important for keeping ⁢my filler.”A‍ viewer mentioned: “I tell people I only got my lips done⁣ three ‍times with ⁣point five ml each time & it’s been five years since then‌ but my lips still look same‍ because it DOES NOT DISSOLVE.”

“When it first came out all injectors‌ said it would ‌last only six months,” one netizen wrote back to which Dr.Parsa replied saying: “That’s what companies told us.”I ‌got chin filler ONCE a decade ago, and⁣ never‌ needed a touch-up since. It’s stayed the same this whole⁢ time.

Another person added: ‍“Had my lips done 8 ⁤years ago. They‌ still haven’t disappeared.”

Fillers have become more popular over time, and celebs who ⁢use⁤ them too much often face criticism.

Ryan Gosling and Eva ⁣Mendes had to deal with social media beauty critics last month ⁤after old and new photos of the couple⁣ started spreading online this⁣ year.

On March 29, Meredith‍ West, a physician ⁣assistant with a Master of Science degree and 15 years in plastic surgery plus injectables, shared a joint⁢ video⁣ with Mountcastle Medical Spa from Virginia on her Instagram⁤ page.

Ryan ‌and Eva’s “before and after” images in the video showed what looked like big changes in their looks;‍ they appeared somewhat “puffier” than before.

“I think they’ve both had some recent cosmetic work,” ‍Meredith wrote in her post.

“I believe Eva might ⁣have had facial surgery (maybe a facelift +/- fat grafting), plus they both likely ⁤got Botox along with fillers,” she explained.

Using too much Botox or fillers can cause bad effects. Nurse Gemavie says ⁣that overdosing on Botox can lead to too much muscle weakness which may create issues with facial expressions making it look unnatural.

Dermatologist Jessica Weiser⁤ said “we see quite a‍ bit of⁢ [overdone filler], unfortunately,” Allure reported back in March. “That‍ classic⁤ pillow-face look—very puffy with odd proportions” is how it appears.

Many factors play into this issue but poor choices by⁣ some‍ injectors are definitely part of the problem according to Allure.

Of course ⁣medical-grade skincare products including CO2 treatments radiofrequency⁢ laser treatments along with⁣ microneedling⁤ for maintenance are all included!Aesthetics ‌doctor Jonny Betteridge is one among many medical experts⁤ who commented on Barbie star’s physical change over time.

In⁣ a Reel posted on March28 that⁤ got over two million views Jonny discussed‍ how Ryan’s face has changed ‌through the years.

Dr.Parsa did ⁣an analysis measuring fillers for a33-year-old patient ‍

Jonny shared, “A specific part of his face that really stands out is the flatness⁤ in‍ the mid-face area.

“You‌ can notice this here where it looks like the face is sunken in.

“Most clients ‍I treat with⁣ dermal fillers need some kind of mid-face improvement,⁢ and ‍I do this ‌by injecting filler into⁣ these four spots.

“I aim to bring back the cheekbone shape and add volume.”

The beauty expert mentioned that the‍ Canadian’s look has become⁤ more “overfilled” lately.

“It’s obvious⁣ to see⁣ how his ⁤facial features have changed, especially with how full his⁤ mid-face‌ and cheeks are,” Jonny explained. “This‍ gets worse when someone smiles because you can ‌see a ‌typical sign of having too much filler in that ⁤area.”

One person commented, “Me and my fillers are freaking out right now.”
