The Princess of Wales was present at the Remembrance Service on 10 November in London.
After Kate Middleton amazed the crowd with her presence at the Cenotaph’s Remembrance Sunday service, a lip reader claims to have figured out what she said to the Duchess of Edinburgh during their close conversation.
This is the latest public event for The Princess of Wales, who is 42 years old, after finishing her cancer treatment.
Kate first shared this news back in March, mentioning she was getting ‘preventative’ care.
In July, alongside Princess Charlotte, Kate attended the 2024 Wimbledon tournament and received a warm standing ovation from those watching.
A few weeks later, a video of Kate and William congratulating Team GB after the 2024 Olympics was also shared.
This weekend, Kate joined King Charles III and other royal family members at the Remembrance event in London. Queen Camilla wasn’t there because Buckingham Palace announced last week that she was dealing with a chest infection and had canceled her royal duties for now.
Even though it was reported that she would stand on the palace’s main balcony – where she was supposed to appear alone – Kate ended up being seen with Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh on another balcony.
It’s said that Sophie – married to King Charles III’s youngest brother Prince Edward – switched places with Duke and Duchess of Gloucester so she could stand next to Kate.
While watching the annual wreath-laying ceremony honoring lives lost during both World Wars and other conflicts – Kate and Sophie were seen chatting closely during a live broadcast.
According to Kayleigh Harris from The Sun – Kate appeared to tell Sophie: “She will be supported in this.”
Sophie reportedly replied: “Yes, especially…” but what came next couldn’t be clearly heard.
The lip reader noted that Kate said ‘it’s so special’ before adding: “You’re never quite ready for this.”
Sophie seemed to agree saying: “Yes absolutely.”
Harris isn’t alone; other experts have commented on what these Royal ladies might have discussed during their public appearance.
Body language expert Judi James told The Mirror that when Sophie placed her gloved hand on top of Kate’s hand it sent a message towards her husband Prince William.
“Sophie clearly took over as temporary stand-in for William,” James explained.
“She talked with kate while they stood side by side; even though kate looked confident standing where late Queen used too be , sophie seemed like she kept an eye over her just like Anne has done for brother Charles.”
James added: “It was just a small touch or pat as kate walked ahead inside which showed maternal affection or caring reassurance towards her niece-in-law but also proved visibly too William that kate is safe & cared for when he isn’t around.”
