An optical illusion is leaving people stumped after some people with less-than-perfect vision have spotted a creepy woman.
Optical illusions are something that, although interesting, can also cause a great deal of arguing.
The viral dress that some people saw as black and blue while others saw gold and white comes to mind.
For what it’s worth, I have only ever seen white and gold and it still annoys me to this day that I can’t see black and blue.
Anyway, this most recent illusion has left some people creeped out.
The image, initially appearing innocent, shows two young girls sitting in a woodland setting.
One is a blonde child facing her brunette friend, who looks downward. At first glance, it seems like a simple, lighthearted moment between friends.
However, those who don’t have perfect vision and to whom the image is a bit blurry, see something a bit creepier.
Some people have reported seeing a terrifying old woman hidden in the image.
Social media users have been divided, with some identifying the face instantly while others remain bewildered.
“Well that was nightmare fuel. Thanks for the loss of sleep I’ll be having,” one person wrote.
A second said: “I think my contacts are too good to see anything but [two] little girls not sure what u guys are seeing.”
A third added: “FREAKED ME OUT.”

The hidden face appears within the blonde girl’s features. The side of her face creates the illusion of a forehead, with shadows in her hair and under her chin forming the eyes.
Further down, her hairline and shirt creases outline the nose and mouth, creating the distinct appearance of a pale, haunting face.
For those struggling to spot the eerie face, an edited version of the image has been shared online to make it more apparent.
However, even when revealed, the woman remains as unsettling as ever.

A chilling optical illusion aboard a plane has gone viral, leaving one passenger pretty terrified.
The unsettling incident unfolded when a flier captured what appeared to be a figure staring at them from across the aisle.
The image, shared on X (formerly Twitter), sent shivers down the spines of many users, though the reality behind the eerie scene turned out to be far less sinister.
The passenger, known as @bluemupp on the platform, shared the unsettling photo with the caption: “I ALMOST LANDED THIS PLANE MYSELF.”

Thankfully, the eerie image was debunked by sharp-eyed users who spotted the truth. One person clarified: “I got this… that’s a person with their hoodie on backwards over their face and the black thing that looks like an eyeball is a headphone.
“So it looks like they are staring at you creepily, but that’s just the side of their head with a headphone in the ear while the hoodie covers the face.”
