Baby Driver Star Hudson Meek Dead Aged 16

On December 19, Meek fell from a moving vehicle, sustaining severe blunt force injuries. He was immediately transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham, where he succumbed to his injuries two days later. The Vestavia Hills Police Department is investigating the incident, though no foul play is suspected.

Born on August 5, 2008, in Alabama, Hudson Joseph Meek began his acting career at a young age. He appeared in several notable projects, including the television series MacGyver and the film 90 Minutes in Heaven. His role in Baby Driver brought him significant recognition, showcasing his talent and potential in the film industry.

Beyond his acting endeavors, Meek was a sophomore at Vestavia Hills High School, where he was an active member of the football team. He was known for his vibrant personality, quick wit, and love for making others laugh. An obituary described him as “confident, convicted in his beliefs, spontaneous, and quick-witted,” highlighting his ability to light up any room he entered.

In the wake of his passing, tributes have poured in from friends, family, and industry colleagues. His family shared a heartfelt message on his Instagram account, stating, “Our hearts are broken to share that Hudson Meek went home to be with Jesus tonight. His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted … .”

J Pervis Talent Agency, which represented Meek, also expressed their condolences, describing him as “an extraordinary young talent, whose dedication, passion, and promise shone brightly within our industry.” They added, “Hudson was more than just a talent; henspiration and touched so many lives with his enthusiasm, kindness, smile, and innate ability to light up a room and never meet a stranger.”

To honor his memory, Meek’s family has announced the establishment of the Hudson J. Meek Memorial Scholarship, which will be awarded annually to a student at Vestavia Hills High School. A celebration of his life is scheduled for December 28, where friends andather to pay their respects and share memories of the young actor.
