Frank Fritz’s relationship with Diann Bankson was a rollercoaster. They dated on and off, got engaged in 2017, and bought an Iowa farmhouse in 2018. However, their relationship ended abruptly when Bankson claimed she caught Fritz in bed with another woman. Fritz accused Bankson of cheating on him, revealing she had been seeing someone else for two and a half years.
Fritz tried to cope with his heartbreak through alcohol, leading to job loss and health issues. He stated, “I tried to drink her away,” but ultimately overcame his drinking problem. The breakup left Fritz wary of new relationships.

Adding to his woes, Bankson moved on with a new partner, Eric Longlett, sharing their happiness on social media. On July 4, 2022, Fritz suffered a stroke and was hospitalized. His friend found him and called for help, and Fritz’s father reported he was improving daily.
Despite initial recovery, Fritz’s condition required him to be placed under guardianship. His friend was appointed as his guardian, and a bank managed his finances. This arrangement ensured his care and decision-making as his health fluctuated.
