Angelina Jolie’s recently leaked court filing describes the horrific flight where Brad Pitt allegedly at:tacked his ex-wife before “choked one of the children and st:riking another in the face.”
The divorce fight between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, formerly Hollywood’s golden couple, continues to generate headlines years later.
The couple, who separated in 2016, was proclaimed legally single in 2019, but unresolved custody, financial, and property conflicts have prolonged the court proceedings.
One of the more controversial problems has been control of Château Miraval, the winery they jointly hold in France. Jolie sold her stake to a third party, forcing Pitt to accuse her of breaching contracts, exacerbating tensions.
During these confrontations, both sides have expressed grievances, with Jolie accusing Pitt of abu:sive behavior, which he has always denied.
On September 19, 2016, just days after the Wolfs star allegedly abu:sed his ex-wife and two of their children on a private flight, the Tomb Raider star filed for div:orce, citing her “family’s well-being.”
Jolie, 49, alleged that her ex-husband was physically and emotionally abus:ive in front of their five children: Maddox (23), Pax (20), Zahara (19), Shiloh (18), and twins Vivienne and Knox (16).
Jolie later admitted that she witnessed “Pitt have two to three drinks, but said he appeared articulate and not intoxicated.”
The plane incident
On November 28, 2024, a Redditor uploaded the frightening paper revealing the allegations made against Pitt, 60.
The frightening filing includes significant aspects of the Fight Club star’s scuffle, as well as the altercation with his ex-wife and children, which began before the family boarded the private plane from Château Miraval to Los Angeles.
After the plane took off, Pitt allegedly accused the mother of being “too deferential” to their children, and then launched his “at:tack.”
The statement claims that the Meet Joe Black star “grabbed Jolie by the head and shook her, then grabbed her shoulders and shook her again before pushing her into the bathroom wall.”
According to the report, Pitt continued to be hostile, forcing the family to remain on the plane for 20 minutes after it arrived.
Jolie filed for div:orce just five days later.
‘Monster’
When news of the incident spread online, social media platforms were inundated with replies, with many expressing disbelief and outrage at the charges.
While Pitt has continuously denied the allegations and was cleared by authorities after an inquiry, the newly revealed information has revived speculation about the high-profile couple’s rocky relationship.
Pitt’s lawyer, Anne Kiley, released a statement saying: “Brad has owned everything he’s responsible for from day one – unlike the other side – but he’s not going to own anything he didn’t do. Klein continues, “He has been on the receiving end of every type of personal attack and misrepresentation… Thankfully, the various public authorities the other side has tried to use against him over the past six years have made their own independent decisions.
“Brad will continue to respond in court as he has consistently done.”
