You will surely have noticed that a dark-colored circular stain forms around the sink faucet, which is difficult to get rid of, which gives the sink an old and dirty look.
The cause of these stains is limescale, which is deposited by water and on which soap residues and dirt are deposited that end up staining it and creating those annoying black halos.
The effect is really ugly and sometimes you can have difficulty removing the stain with simple cleaning products.
If you want to avoid using bleach (wise decision!) we suggest effective tricks to eliminate dark stains around taps in a natural way and without exposing our health to risk.
Cloth makeup. This method, which is the easiest and fastest, consists of passing a cloth soaked in vinegar over the stain. This ingredient, in fact, is a natural flux that removes the yellow or black stain by polishing and disinfecting thoroughly. If the stain doesn’t come off, apply vinegar directly to it and wipe it down about 30 minutes later.
Lemon. This citrus fruit also has disinfectant and lightening properties, which help eliminate stains. Rub half a lemon directly on the dark stain, let it act for a few minutes then wipe with a cloth. Repeat if the stain does not come off.
Borax. It is one of the most powerful ingredients for removing stains on almost any bathroom surface. Apply borax directly to the stain, then pour vinegar over it. After 20 minutes, rub with a sponge, then rinse with water and dry well. Wear gloves and a mask while applying borax.
