Latest Buzz on Bruce Willis!

Demi Moore has shared ⁣more info about her ex-husband Bruce Willis’ battle with frontotemporal dementia.

Moore, 61, talked openly about Bruce, 69, during the 2024 Hamptons International Film Festival on Sunday,⁤ October 13. She revealed her ⁤feelings on⁣ the Die Hard star’s illness ⁢which was confirmed in February 2023 by Bruce’s wife Emma Heming Willis.

“The sickness is exactly what it is. And I think you need to have a deep acceptance of what that means,”‌ Moore said‍ at a festival event where she received the Career Achievement in Acting Award. “But ‌for where⁣ he’s at now, he is ‍stable.”

Moore was married to Bruce from 1987 to 2000 and they have three⁢ daughters: Rumer, 36; Scout, 33; and Tallulah, 30. She elaborated on her thoughts further.

“What I always suggest is to just meet them where they are. When you’re clinging onto what was before, it feels‍ like a losing ‍game,” Moore told the crowd. “But when ‌you⁢ show up to meet them where they’re at now⁣ there is great beauty and⁣ sweetness.”

Moore mentioned that she ‍visited Bruce with their granddaughter Luetta who is⁢ just over⁤ a year old “two days ago.” She expressed her commitment‌ to “sharing whatever‌ we⁣ have for ⁢however long we can.”

Bruce’s diagnosis came after his family announced in March 2022 that he had been dealing with⁢ aphasia—a condition affecting communication skills. In December of last year, an insider told Us⁤ Weekly that the whole family ‍including Emma and their kids Mabel (12) and Evelyn (10) had been strong supporters during Bruce’s⁢ health struggles.

“Bruce has good days and bad days but ⁢lately there are way more bad days than ⁢good,” said‌ the source then. “This situation has brought everyone closer together since no one knows how much time he has left so they’re cherishing every moment.”

Tallulah recently spoke about visiting Bruce telling E! News on August 29 how connected they feel. “Our visits are filled with love and I really feel⁢ that,” Tallulah shared adding “And that’s what matters most for me—having that bond.”

She continued saying “I know he understands how much I care for him. He knows how much he loves me too.”

Rumer also updated fans about her dad’s health status ⁤via ‌Instagram Stories on August 22⁣ saying “He’s ‌great! ‍I ⁤adore him so much.”

The Mayo ‌Clinic describes ‍frontotemporal dementia (FTD) as an umbrella term covering brain diseases mainly affecting‍ frontal & temporal lobes—areas linked with personality behavior & language.
