Meghan Markle and her spouse, Prince Harry, have faced challenges in their relationship with the royal family since they stepped away from royal duties in January 2020. The pair now reside in Montecito, California, leading a lifestyle that is quite different from their time in the UK while raising their two kids, Lilibet and Archie.
It wasn’t long after leaving the UK before they began to share their experiences. Their well-known interview with Oprah Winfrey, a Netflix series, and Harry’s book Spare became major headlines globally. The Sussexes quickly accused various members of the royal family of numerous issues. They made several shocking claims about their experiences which set the stage for how things stand today regarding any communication between both parties.
Meghan has returned to the UK only a few times since departing royal life with Harry; however, there’s a possibility she might go back this May. This visit could signal an attempt at reconciliation between Harry and Meghan and Prince William along with Kate Middleton. But it may not be easy—royal experts say Meghan has two requests including an “apology” before any peace can be made.

In his book, Prince William along with Kate Middleton were mentioned as Harry shared many insights about being part of such a prominent family which he described as not very enjoyable.
Meanwhile members of royalty like Prince William chose to stay silent regarding Harry’s comments about them. Currently it seems that Prince William will only engage with his brother if he receives an honest apology according to Ingrid Seward who is editor-in-chief at Majesty Magazine.
“William would feel upset knowing that once again Harry turned this visit into a PR chance,” she told The Sun. “For William, he really doesn’t want to talk until Harry acts respectfully & apologizes for all those years of insults directed at him & Princess Wales.”
“William must be privately furious thinking over all those years how he supported him but now when his father aged 75 & wife married for 13 years are both possibly unwell all that matters to harry is himself.”
Both attended Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral but Meghan didn’t join her husband during King Charles’ coronation last year.
“Megan doesn’t feel guilty about Kate”
Harry did attend coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey but left soon after returning back home quickly afterwards! Reports suggest royals were pleased by his swift departure.
King Charles likely wants nothing more than for his sons to reconcile—for both himself as well as for future reasons too! Initially seen as key figures alongside husbands within monarchy together—things didn’t end well!
So can these couples ever mend fences? Royal expert Tom Quinn believes it won’t happen!
Speaking to the Mirror Quinn stated that Megan feels let down by Kate who she thinks should’ve been more supportive during her time working within royalty! He also mentions how both women should’ve connected better due having similar backgrounds being outsiders marrying into such families!
“Megan doesn’t feel guilty towards Kate because she believes Kate oughta have been there supporting her through tough times,” Tom Quinn explained further adding “Meghan knew what it meant being outside so couldn’t grasp why kate always followed rules instead backing up another outsider like herself.”
Harry reached out sending good wishes post-Kate’s surgery while reports claim couple learned about cancer diagnosis via news outlets.
Some believe health issues could help mend ties between them however Quinn argues relationship too damaged beyond repair!
“Kate’s cancer news shocked Megan deeply yet sees no way forward due its toxicity,” he added saying “She also fears people might think she’s trying patch things up simply because kate’s sick! She still holds belief kate was wrong needing apologize first before rebuilding bridges.”

Sources revealed “Both listed guests scheduled speech yet uncertainty remains whether megan will show up.”While Harry and Meghan’s and William and Kate’s relationships are at a low point, Tom Quinn says that, surprisingly, the Prince and Princess of Wales are the ones trying to mend things.
In an interview with the Mirror, the royal expert mentioned that Prince William and Kate Middleton “suggested” Harry and Meghan bring their kids along for the Invictus Games event.
“William and Kate have suggested that Meghan and Harry bring their children so both couples can try to make up, but this idea isn’t going anywhere yet,” Quinn told the Mirror.

According to Express, Meghan is currently listed as a guest but seems to have changed her mind due to concerns for her children.
A source shared with OK! Magazine that while Meghan hoped to visit the UK with Harry in May, she doesn’t want Archie or Lilibet there because she fears for their safety.
“It’s reached a point where Meghan doesn’t want to go back with them. She just feels unsafe. Now it’s about whether they should go with more security or if Harry should go alone,” said the source.
Additionally, Harry reportedly pleaded with his wife to think again about it: “I don’t want to do this alone.”
“Harry doesn’t like making solo trips back home,” continued the source. “He wishes his whole family could visit regularly but there’s too much happening behind closed doors right now.”
Both were planning on visiting but when details of their trip got out publicly, she started reconsidering it all again.
Meghan Markle has ‘two demands’ before reconciling with William & Kate
The safety of her kids isn’t all that worries Meghan about returning home. The OK! Magazine insider stated that she doesn’t want “to be thrown back into an anxiety-filled trip where she feels unwelcome.” Meanwhile, Harry is said to be very conflicted on how he can support his wife while also being there for his sister-in-law Kate Middleton.
Prince William is upset at his brother over what some might call ”selling secrets” regarding their family. Bringing Kate into his book didn’t help either; now he wants nothing from him after feeling ‘thrown under a bus.’
As you can guess, this ongoing feud won’t fix itself easily. Prince William wants an apology from Harry just as much as Harry wants one from him!
Once again Tom Quinn explains how two demands are blocking any chance of reconciliation between these couples—and Meghan isn’t ready just yet!
“Harry would like things fixed up but stands by his wife completely; until she feels treated nicely by them –and gets sincere apologies– it won’t happen,” Quinn told Mirror according to Daily Record.
Moreover, it’s claimed by experts that Meghan is stopping Harry from having peace talks.
“The suggestion is not leading anywhere”
“There has been some change since Kate got sick; both feel they need to reach out more—but Meghan’s grievances still hold everything back,” explained Quinn adding there’s “no way” she’ll take her kids over there right now.
“William & Kate suggested bringing children along so families could try making amends—but nothing seems possible at this moment,” he added.
