In 2009, tragedy struck when he lost his daughter Exodus Sierra Tyson due to an accident at home involving a treadmill cord. After her passing, Mike gave an interview but had to end it early because discussing such pain was too hard for him.
During an exhibition match against Logan Paul in November 2024, Tyson honored his late daughter by having her name Exodus stitched on the bottom corner of his black boxing shorts.
Miki Tyson
The famous boxer cherishes his children and puts them first in life. His oldest child is Miki Tyson who pursues music; her dad takes great pride in her accomplishments. In October 2024 she released her song ‘Love Me Again.’ Mike shared on Instagram about it saying “My daughter @missmikityson’s new song! So proud! Tyson’s 28-year-old Ramsey advocates strongly for LGBTQ+ rights as they identify as transmasculine and nonbinary.
They were instrumental when their father confronted rapper Boosie Badazz over some controversial remarks about Dwyane Wade’s child Zaya back in 2020.
Ramsey reflected on their father’s choice to educate Boosie: “I wanted to talk because I’m nonbinary myself who transitioned socially among friends while starting medical transition too.”
They have mentioned how often they are misgendered when their dad appears in media stories saying “He didn’t mean any harm! I’ve talked briefly with him about gender identity; it feels nice knowing I inspired him somehow.” Ramsey actively supports both themselves & others within this community.
Amir Tyson
27-year-old Amir runs a clothing brand using creativity that turned into success! When Amir was just thirteen years old Mike expressed hopes for him saying “He gets nervous sometimes but doing great… No bad influences around! I have high hopes!”

Milan Tyler—Mike’s daughter—is into tennis & owns activewear line called Milan Miyla launched back during twenty twenty-one year! Her father often praises her strength & determination stating she can pack quite punch!
At ESPY awards held recently (in twenty-twenty-three), Mike said “Hey it’s time…I have daughters now can’t be same person anymore you know? Things must change.” He discussed how being middle-aged means needing presence within family lives unlike before!
