I never thought marriage would turn out like this, but my husband, Logan, chose to make a public scene of this complete mess.
Issues arose, and our attempts to have a baby took a bigger toll on our relationship than I realized at first. My mental health plummeted, and I felt like an absolute failure.
Anyway, last night my best friend Lola persuaded me to leave the house to clear my mind and have some fun. Logan had told me he was staying at the gym late, so we went to this cozy jazz club downtown that was dimly lit; the music was lovely but not too loud for chatting.
Lola had me laughing and feeling good when suddenly she went quiet. Her eyes widened as she stared somewhere over my shoulder.
“Natasha… I don’t want to scare you, but… is that Logan?”
A chill ran through me. But I knew what I’d see as soon as I turned around. There he was at a corner table with a young woman draped over him.
Nothing like this had ever happened in my life before; even during college relationships! So I never thought I’d be the type of woman who would cause drama. But somehow my body moved on its own.
“Natasha, well ” he said casually.
“Logan,” I tried speaking without knowing what words would come out next; he cut me off instead.
“Look Natasha. It’s better you know now. No more hiding it,” he said nonchalantly.
“I’m in love with someone else. We’re done.”
Just like that! No hesitation or guilt whatsoever! I wanted to scream or cry or slap him across his smug face but somehow just stood there frozen.
Suddenly Lola grabbed my arm mumbling something about how Logan would regret this someday and led me outside.
The next morning after hardly any sleep, I decided it was time to go home and confront him—maybe he’d realize his mistake.
And there he stood on the porch with Brenda beside him grinning like he’d just hit the jackpot! As I got out of my car feeling numbness wash over me slowly walked toward them.
Still trying hard not show any emotion—I wouldn’t give him satisfaction by breaking down—I started gathering up clothes and random stuff into the trunk of my car while humiliation burned deep inside!
Then suddenly Mr.Duncan stepped out from a sleek black BMW looking confused—Logan’s grandfather!
Now everyone knows Mr.Duncan can be tough; he’s built quite an empire from nothing so has high expectations for all his family members!
But still fear crept in as he took in everything—the scene with all of belongings scattered across lawn—a strange woman standing on porch—and where’s Logan?
“Logan babe come here!” Brenda called worriedly
“What’s going on here?!” Mr.Duncan’s voice boomed while Logan came outside looking shocked!
“Grandpa we didn’t expect you today,” He stammered swallowing hard “This isn’t really good timing—we’re dealing with something private—you wouldn’t understand.”
“I might be old son but trust me—I get exactly what’s happening.” Mr.Duncan replied firmly “I only asked because didn’t want believe eyes.”
“Grandpa,” Logan tried again but couldn’t finish before being interrupted
“It looks like you’ve kicked out favorite granddaughter-in-law while shacking up with that girl—didn’t get anything wrong?”
Mr.Duncan continued without remorse towards Brenda which made feel no guilt whatsoever!
“He doesn’t belong here anymore.”
Logan looked pale “What are saying?”
Mr Duncan didn’t blink once “I’m saying Natasha stays—you leave—not only that—but right now cutting off support completely—you think can act disrespectfully towards your wife make family look bad? Not happening!”
“Grandpa!”
”Leave now!”

Once they were gone Mr Duncan brought inside revealing why came by originally ”
Nodding tears streamed down cheeks
He was still in the same clothes as that day for some reason and looked terrible.
“I made a mistake. I have nothing left. The rest of my family won’t help me. Can you please call my grandfather? He’ll listen to you,” Logan blurted with no preamble. “I can’t live like this.”
So, I got to say the words every person in my position wants to. “Nope! You made your bed, li:e in it!” It was cliché and cruel, but believe me, it was so satisfying at that moment.
Maybe, I’ll feel bad for him later. But what did he expect? Entitled brat!
