Prince Harry Breaks Silence On Family Tragedy As Meghan Markle ‘In Tears’

Prince Harry has broken his silence regarding a family tragedy as Meghan Markle has ‘cried too many tears to count.’

The Duke of Sussex, alongside his wife, stepped down as a senior royal in 2020, however, he remains heavily involved in the Invictus Games, which he founded in 2014.

This year, the international multi-sport event for wounded, injured, and sick military personnel, both serving and veteran, is being held in Vancouver, Canada.

Both Prince Harry and Markle attended the games, with the duchess returning home after a few days for their children.

Despite exchanging pleasantries and appearing happy, the pair have recently suffered a heartbreaking loss.

It comes amid a difficult time for Prince Harry and Markle, with reports of a ‘professional’ separation and divorce rumors.

Questions surrounding the couple’s relationship became the point of contention after both made several public appearances alone.

Although Prince Harry has shut down theories of divorce, rumors and speculation continue.

Ignoring such reports, the couple stood as a united front at the Invictus Games.

During the match, when the prince met a black labrador called Thorn, who supports the mental health of first responders, he reportedly shared with the dog’s owner, Ali Harper, how much he misses his dog, Guy, who passed away just weeks prior.

Harper told People magazine: “Harry came right over and sat down right next to Thorin and kneeled down and started petting him and said how much he misses his dog.”

Markle announced the passing of their beloved beagle on January 7 with a montage of photos and videos on Instagram.

The dutchess posted a heartfelt caption: “In 2015, I adopted a beagle from a dog rescue in Canada. He had been at a kill shelter in Kentucky and given a few days to live. I swooped him up… and fell in love.

“They referred to him as ‘the little guy’ because he was so small and frail, so I named him ‘Guy.’ And he was the best guy any girl could have asked for.

“If you followed me on Instagram back in the day, you saw a lot of him – and on The Tig too. He was with me at Suits, when I got engaged, (and then married), when I became a mom….he was with me for everything: the quiet, the chaos, the calm, the comfort.”

Markle also shared that Guy had endured a ‘terrible accident’ before moving to the U.K., which led him to undergo surgeries and be unable to leave the clinic. Doctors also said he would never walk again, which fortunately wasn’t the case.

The post ended: “I have cried too many tears to count – the type of tears that make you get in the shower with the absurd hope that the running water on your face will somehow make you not feel them, or pretend they’re not there. But they are. And that’s OK too.

“Thank you for so many years of unconditional love, my sweet Guy. You filled my life in ways you’ll never know.”
