Rod Stewart Reveals He’s Done with His Major World Tours

However,⁢ the iconic rock star has some unfortunate news for all his supporters.

Rod ‌Stewart, the legendary musician known ⁤for songs like “Forever Young” and “Maggie May,” has announced ‍that his upcoming tour, ​ One Last Time, will be his last major world tour.

On⁣ Wednesday, Nov. 20, the 79-year-old⁣ star took to Instagram to share this heartfelt decision with his fans.

In⁣ good shape and his iconic hair is still there

“This is the end of big world tours for me,” he‌ wrote. “But⁢ don’t worry; I’m not quitting.⁣ I still enjoy what I do. It’s just ‍time to perform in smaller, more personal venues.”

The rock star mentioned that even though he’s in good health and has a full head of hair, he thinks it’s time to step​ back from the tiring lifestyle of large‍ concerts.

“I’m fit, have a full⁣ head of hair ​and can run ⁢100 meters⁤ in 18 seconds at ⁢my jolly old age of 79,” the rocker posted on Instagram.

For fans who’ve followed Stewart over the years,⁢ this news feels like an ending to an era. His One Last Time tour will mark the final ​chapter of his unforgettable performances in huge arenas where his unique voice and rock star charm have thrilled audiences for ⁢years.

He’s ready for something new

Known for being incredibly versatile, Stewart has been a steady figure in‍ music across genres ‌from rock to soul and​ RandB. From popular songs in the 70s like ​ “Do You Think⁤ I’m Sexy?” to more recent works like Swing Fever, he’s always ⁤changing as an artist.

While Stewart says this isn’t really goodbye musically speaking; it seems clear he wants something different.

“I’d⁢ love to move⁢ onto a Great American Songbook ⁢or Swing Fever tour next year — smaller places with more closeness,” he wrote.

But then again; Rock & Roll Hall of‍ Famer also⁤ left things uncertain by jokingly saying “But then again; I may not…” ​before signing off as “The ‍Ambiguous Sir Rod Stewart.”

Rod Stewart’s One Last Time tour will travel through U.S.A. and Canada with ⁤20 new shows starting in March at Austin‌ Texas & finishing up St Louis in August! While ⁤he’s looking forward to slowing down; fans can ⁢still ​expect one last chance to see him ‌perform live up close!
