Snoop Dogg’s daughter announces tragic death of his 10-month-old granddaughter

Snoop Dogg’s daughter has tragically confirmed that her infant daughter has died.

Cori Broadus, 26, shared a post to her Instagram Stories on January 31, sharing that her 10-month-old daughter, Codi Dreaux, had passed away.

Broadus is the youngest of Snoop Dogg’s children and his only daughter with his wife of 28 years, Shante Broadus, whom he also shares sons Corde, 31, and Cordell, 28.

Codi had been born three months premature and had spent an extended period of 10 months in the neonatal intensive care unit following her arrival in February 2025.

Cori had previously shared a post on her social media when she was finally able to bring her baby girl home.

In the post, which showed a picture of her snuggling Codi on her bed, she wrote: “She’s home. “Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all.”

In her Instagram Story posted on Saturday, Cori wrote: “Monday; I lost the love of my life. My Codi,” followed by an emoji of an angel wing.

Her fiancé and Cori’s father, Wayne Deuce, also paid tribute to the couple’s daughter with his own social media post.

“I been the saddest since u left me Codi Dreaux,” he wrote, with the post also showing a picture of him holding his baby daughter.

“But I know u at peace,” he added. “Daddy will always love you. My baby.”

Cori had first announced she was expecting in an interview with E! News in December 2024.

In the interview, she confirmed the date that she found out that she was expecting, telling the outlet: “I found out October 28.”

Cori had gone on to explain that she was considered to be a ‘high-risk pregnancy’, adding: “Doctors were very concerned for me and the baby, but God has his hands on me.”

In a social media post on February 28 2025, confirming Codi’s birth three months early, she said: “The princess arrived at 6 months. I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself that I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed.

“But no matter what God always shows me that I’m His Child!”

She added: “Baby girl came at 25 weeks today and she’s perfect as ever! Thank You God for getting me this far no matter the odds that are constantly thrown against me.”

Following Codi’s birth, Cori later revealed that she’d undergone a C-section after doctors told her that she was developing Hemolysis, Elevated Liver enzymes and Low Platelets, or HELLP, syndrome.

Preeclampsia Foundation describes this condition as a ‘life-threatening pregnancy complication’ which is considered to be a type of preeclampsia, a serious blood pressure disorder caused by blood vessels not fully transforming during pregnancy.
