Star Of Disney+ Show ‘Snowdrop’ Dies Tragically After Fall

Tragedy struck last month when Korean actress Park Soo Ryun died just hours before she was scheduled for a performance. On June 13, 2023, Ryun was on Jeju Island, the largest Korean island. She was on her way to perform when she accidentally tripped down a flight of stairs.

If you have ever slipped on the stairs, you probably know how scary and painful that can be, but in Ryun’s case, it was fatal. She was transported to a local hospital where first responders tried to revive the 29 year old star, but it didn’t work. She was pronounced brain dead and legally dead although her heart was still beating.

Ryun’s family made the difficult decision not to keep her alive on life support. Instead, they decided to donate her organs especially since her heart was still beating. Ryun’s mother explained, “There must be someone who desperately needs organs. As her mother and father, we will be able to live comforted by the thought that her heart has gone to someone and is beating.”

Ryun was best known for her role as a supporting actress on Disney+ K-drama series “Snowdrop.” She is not the first actress from the show to have died young. Her costar, Kim Mi-soo, died in January 2022 also at the age of 29. Her cause of death has not been reported.

Ryun’s fans have turned to her social media posts to share their grief at her death. One comment reads, “Rest in peace. We will miss you.”

Another fan wrote, “Rest in peace miss Soo Ryun. You lived a good life I’m sorry it was taken away too soon.”
