Taken far too soon…When you discover who she is, your heart will break…

Juanita Lira Eguiguren, a wonderful woman who had a significant impact on health and well-being, passed away at the age of 30 from breast cancer. In 2015, at the young age of 22, Juanita received a cancer diagnosis, but she fought it with strong perseverance and an unbreakable attitude that inspired everyone she met.

Despite her difficulties, Juanita maintained her conviction that hope could win over fear. “Hope is peace for me,” she said in a poignant farewell before she died. While we can’t change life’s challenges, we can change how we handle them. Juanita found consolation in holding on to this small glimmer of optimism during her journey.

Juanita was the daughter of the mayor of Lo Barnechea, Chile, and came from a lineage of public servants. Her death leaves a loss in the community, but her loved ones take comfort in the knowledge that she is now resting in everlasting peace.

Juanita’s life took an unexpected turn when she learned she had breast cancer just before starting a study abroad program in Barcelona, Spain. Heartbroken, she had to cancel her plans and make significant adjustments in her life. Her tenacity and dedication shined through as she devoted herself to fighting the sickness, undergoing surgery and radiation therapy in the hopes of eliminating the tumor cells within three months.

During this period, Juanita not only defied the odds but also reached significant personal milestones. She finished her education and even found love, marrying while feeling she was on the road to recovery. However, in 2017, another biopsy yielded catastrophic results. The cancer has returned and spread to her lungs, lymph nodes, and sternum. It was a shattering blow, but Juanita persevered in the face of adversity.

Juanita took the daring choice to create her own business, “The Healthy Route,” which provides health-conscious catering services as well as extensive information on well-being. Her passion and determination connected with others, and she quickly gained over 245,000 Instagram followers.

Juanita Lira Eguiguren has left behind a legacy of hope, endurance, and inspiration. Despite her untimely death, her legacy in the field of health and wellness lives on. Let us remember her as a brilliant example of how hope can guide us through the darkest of circumstances, demonstrating that we all possess immense power.
