We’ve all made choices we’re not happy with in the past, taken actions we wish we hadn’t, and said things we’d like to take back.
However, I bet very few of us have regrets as big and obvious as Ethan ‘ModBoy’ Bramble, a tattoo enthusiast from Australia who has over 200 tattoos on his body.
These days, expressing yourself through ink is pretty common. Unique and detailed tattoos seem to be super popular. But there’s a limit to what most people are willing to spend on their skin art, and for many that limit is way below what Ethan was prepared to do.
According to reports, Ethan was only 11 when he got his first body modification by stretching his ears. Since then he’s had all sorts of procedures done including splitting his tongue and removing his belly button.
But it’s really the tattoos that get the most attention; it’s no shock since he’s covered from head to toe. Ethan shared that he spent about $60,000 AUD (around $39,000 USD) for his look.
Now though he has shown some regret about those past decisions.
“I guess you could say I regret some tattoos,” he told LadBibleTV’s No Filter series.
“Not just regret; I think there’s a difference between regretting something and wanting others to see you differently.”
Ethan mentioned he’s concerned about how people might judge him while doing everyday things like taking his little daughter to school.
“The face can be a big deal that leads – for some people at least – can lead to many issues for yourself which I probably wouldn’t want my daughter dealing with until she was older,” he said.
“I wish I hadn’t gone so crazy with my face.”
To improve how others see him, Ethan has been going through painful laser treatments trying to remove some of the ink from when he was younger.
He explained: “I’ve been getting laser [surgery] done for almost 12 months… We do it in sections but I’ve probably gone over everything six or seven times.”
“I started this because of anxiety… Mental stuff can be tricky but I believe much of my anxiety came from having so many face tattoos.”
“I’m okay with how I look now but I’m also glad knowing that in two years my face tattoos will fade more and more. I’m just clearing up the canvas.”
